Japanese rice wine is not a liqueur, although it is often brewed to liqueur-like strengths by simultaneous processes which convert sugar starch to sugar and then to alcohol. The ferments are Koji and Sake yeast.
Gekkeikan claims itself as the largest selling sake in the world.
Made in Kyoto Japan by appointment to the Imperial household this is a fine sake with rich, regal heritage - and it's great value.
