Midori Melon Liqueur 500ml

The year was 1978. The place was New York City's infamous Studio 54. It was here, under the bright lights of the hottest club in the world, that MIDORI was introduced to the world!

Created by bartenders, for bartenders, the world's favourite green liqueur was born when a delegation from the International Bartenders Association (IBA) toured Suntory's headquarters in Tokyo during the 1971 International Cocktail Championships. During their visit, a contingent of American bartenders took a keen interest in Suntory's Hermes Melon Liqueur, falling in love with its most unusual taste and colour. Such a change from the dark spirits and booze-heavy cocktails they were accustomed to in the US, the Americans' interest prompted the team at Suntory to develop and refine the liqueur, making it more contemporary and suitable to an international palate for its official launch seven years later, in 1978 in New York.

Born in Japan, made famous in New York, MIDORI is enjoyed today in more than 50 countries around the world.
