Wynns owns some of Coonawarra’s best and oldest vineyards. Each year, their Winemakers select one parcel to bottle separately, and in 2015 the Messenger vineyard in the southern section of the terra rossa strip was chosen for the Wynnsday 2018 release.

Planted in 1975, Messenger Cabernet is a dry grown vineyard on deeper soils – and the Messenger Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 is an excellent sequel to the 2010 vintage. A mulberry and red cherry nose contains overtones of lavender, while the palate is juicy and elegant; blueberry flavours shine through with very fine tannins and integrated French oak.
