This style was first made in 2013 when the perfect opportunity arose to source some superb Riesling from Juliet Cullen’s Excelsior (GM 110 clone ) vineyard planted in 2005 in near Tumbarumba.
After its success we decided to make this wine an ongoing part of the Helm Riesling family. It was made using the same careful winemaking techniques that we use for our other Riesling styles and illustrates the important influence that terroir has on a wine.

Nose:
This is a taut, racy and aromatic Riesling from the high country of NSW. There’s a lovely floral element and crisp minerality on the nose that flows to a fresh, enticing palate that kicks in with a fruity citrus attack then finishes with mineral, citrus and green melon. Excellent.
