Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz 2016
The fruit is grown in the Miamba vineyard at the southern end of the Barossa, near the town of Lyndoch. The Miamba vineyard has a long viticultural history, but when Grant bought it in 1983 it was completely bare. Careful planting and sustainable practices have returned this block back to its former glory. The 2012 vintage was an exceptional vintage in the Barossa, where good winter rains laid the foundation for a perfect spring. Mild and dry conditions along with cool nights throughout vintage produced near perfect ripening conditions and the resulting wines have exceptional fruit flavour profiles.
