Chalk Hill Barbera

First planted in 1998 at the Chalk Hill vineyard, the Barbera handled the warm and dry vintage beautifully in 2018. In the vineyard this was the best they have ever seen the Barbera fruit, so they hold high hopes for this wine.

Chalk Hill aim to capture the natural flavours of the variety and do so by handling the wine gently throughout the wine making process. Hand picked, then fermented gently on skins for 7 days, prior to transferring to older French oak barrels.

They want to see the perfume, the vibrancy and the bright fruit characters come to the fore.
