This 20 year old Rare Liquer Tawny has been matured at Bleasdale in the old cellars. The wine has matured and concentrated slowly in old brandy kegs stored in the roof of the original part of the winery built in 1880. The wine displays complex aromas of dried fruit, spices and roasted nuts, with a rich and intense mid palate leading to a persistent but subtle sweet finish. Blended to a minimum age of 20 years and managed through a modified Solera system; based on Grenache, Verdelho and Shiraz. Fortified wines remain important for heritage reasons and continue to be produced in their historic cellars, using vats and old transport barrels dating from the late 19th and 20th centuries.
