Amaro Montenegro was first produced in 1885 in Bologna, Italy. The name of the liqueur intended to pay homage to the second queen of Italy, Princess Hellen of Montenegro.
With the success of Amaro Montenegro, this brand was able to own two more distinguished spirits: Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera and Vecchia Romagna Riserva.

Nose:
Botanical scents of orange peel, fresh not dried coriander, red cherry, pekoe tea cucumber.
Palate:
Entry is sweet at first then it quickly turns mildly bitter and botanical; by midpalate, there's a slight sweetness of tangerine/mandarin peel. Aftertaste is moderately bittersweet and citrusy.
